Control Systems

We have developed a new control system platform, based on the latest Woodward control system solutions. The platform is customized for usage on LM and DR990 Gas Turbines. The design provides our customers with modern, state of the art control system solutions, based on the latest technology and Vicosol enhanced functionality.

HW Capability

Our team has the knowledge to do work on and provide support for several HW platforms.

  • All Woodward control system platforms (Netcon5000, Atlas, Micronet, Flex500, Micronet+)
  • Woodward gas fuel and liquid fuel metering valves, including drivers

Enhanced Functions

Historically the control system only provided “Real time data”, but with the latest growth of the controller CPU horsepower, we are now able to produce compared baseline data on the local controller much like a “digital twin”.

We are developing several enhanced functions together with our partner GT Performance. The keystone to the enhanced monitoring is embedded smart modules that can be implemented directly in the Woodward control system, where a module is one to one with controller logic and visualized in the HMI system. The benefit of having the algorithms on a local level is that the models can run on real time unfiltered data, producing higher accuracy as well as more information at the user level rather than the typical externally in a 3rd party system.

Our goal is to provide the customer with a simpler to use, smarter control system/HMI. This will in turn contribute to increased reliability and availability, increased available power output and higher HPC efficiency. Ultimately this leads to a significant plant operating cost reduction.

Our HMI solutions can accommodate and process a much higher stream of information and data. Not only to and from a controller, but also to remote support centers.

We believe our specialized solutions with focus on user friendliness and enhanced functions are some of the best solutions today. They meet and surpass the user’s requirements and expectations for more remote functionalities. Our HMI solution have several built-in functionalities. By fully utilizing these functions we have developed several enhanced monitoring concepts, based on our extensive experience and specific customer requests.
